IMPERDAN FP 4 MM GP

Waterproofing sheet of polymer modified bitumen (pliability -5ºC) with mineral self-protection.

Product variations:
Waterproofing
IMPERDAN FP 4.0 mm GP is a waterproofing bituminous sheet with self-protected surface of 4.0 mm. Composed of a reinforced polyester felt reinforcement, covered on both sides with polymer modified bitumen (pliability -5ºC) mastic. On the upper side of the sheet, slate in green colour is used as protective material. The anti-adhesive material used on the lower side is polyethylene film. Tested according to standard EN test methods.

Advantages & Benefits

  • High movement capability.
  • High resistance to static and dynamic piercing.
  • Helps to increase the durability of the sheet.
  • It retains its properties better over time.
  • Plastomer-modified bitumen mastic provides top performance at both high and low temperatures, plasticity and resistance to ageing, leading to increased durability of the sheet and increased safety of the waterproofing membrane.
  • Good anti-piercing protection from mechanical damage.
  • High dimensional stability.
  • High tensile strength.
  • Rot-proof.
  • Limits deformations and stresses in the waterproofing membrane.
  • Very stable in the long term.

Instruction for Use

  • Preparation of the support:
The surface of the base support must be resistant, uniform, smooth, clean, dry and free of foreign bodies. In the case of thermal insulation, the plates will be placed at joints and without separations between plates greater than 0.5 cm.
  • Upper sheet of multilayer membranes with mineral self-protection. The sheet runs in the same direction as the bottom sheet, offsetting the lap line by about half the roll. The sheet is completely welded to the lower one with a torch. The overlaps have to be welded, and will be 8-10 cm. in the longitudinal direction and 12 cm in the transverse direction. For the union of the transverse overlap at the ends of the rolls, it is necessary to previously heat the transverse edge of the lower sheet in a strip of 12 cm, eliminating or embedding the protective aggregate in the bituminous mass and then welding the end of the next piece.
  • Waterproofing of walls. Previously, a bituminous primer (Curidán, Impridán 100, Maxdán or Maxdán Caucho) will be applied. For ease of installation, it is recommended to cut the rolls into smaller, more manageable dimensions, adjusting to the width of the wall. Subsequently, the sheet will be welded to the support as indicated above.
