At our HQ in Havant, we have taken significant steps to support sustainable transportation within the company. By installing chargers for electric vehicles, both staff and visitors are encouraged to adopt cleaner modes of transportation. This initiative not only reduces carbon emissions but also promotes the use of electric vehicles as a viable and eco-friendly option.
Driving Hybrid Vehicles:
Recognising the importance of reducing carbon emissions in its operations, we are replacing our current petrol and diesel fleet vehicles with their hybrid counterpart. 41% of our fleet are currently hybrid vehicles, signaling a significant commitment to cleaner mobility and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. This percentage will only increase as and when each petrol or diesel vehicle is set to be replaced.
Waste Reduction and Recycling:
At our central manufacturing plant in Fontanar, systematic plans are in place to minimise waste generation. External auditors monitor these efforts to ensure compliance with ISO14001 and Sustainability Certifications. By optimising packaging design, DANOSA minimises the amount of packaging material used while ensuring product safety. Pallet reuse initiatives further contribute to waste reduction.
Harnessing Renewable Energy:
DANOSA has established solar plants across its production centres, with plans for construction underway in Portugal. These facilities enable the company to generate renewable energy for self-consumption and production, reducing reliance on non-renewable energy sources and lowering carbon emissions.

DANOSA actively supports energy-saving solutions such as SATE (External Thermal Insulation System) and provides customers with information and support for calculating energy savings. DANOSA ensures transparency by calculating the carbon footprint of all its products and solutions, providing contractors and architects with the necessary information to assess the environmental impact of their projects. Our organisation also measures the carbon footprint of its production centres and is expanding this effort to include subsidiaries, starting with DANOSA UK.
