SELF-DAN AL 100
Self-adhesive SBS elastomeric, easy peel foil faced membrane.
Product variations:
SELF-DAN AL 100 is a self-adhesive membrane manufactured with bituminous selected mastic modified with high performance SBS polymers, this will provide self-healing properties, easy application and great durability.r As a top layer it has a an aluminum foil of 60/1000 mm natural color. At the bottom side it has a releasable film.
Instruction for Use
Preparation of the substrate:
- The surface of the base substrate must be resistant, uniform, smooth, clean, dry and free of foreign bodies.
- A bituminous primer (Curidán, Impridán 100, Maxdán or Maxdán Caucho) must be applied beforehand.
- The rolls are preferably laid parallel to the line of maximum slope.
- The adhesion of the film to the substrate is achieved by removing the film from the underside and at the same time pressing with a blunt scraper or with gloves, from the inside outwards to avoid the formation of pockets. The overlaps must be made in the same way from roll to roll, and shall be 6 cm in the longitudinal direction and 8 cm in the transversal direction.
- For easier installation, it may sometimes be necessary to cut the rolls into smaller, more manageable dimensions.
Indications and Important Recommendations
- Do not use for waterproofing buried walls.
Maintenance Recommendations
- Please refer to DANOSA UK Technical Statement ‘Flat Roof Waterproofing – Cleaning and Maintenance Recommendations’
