Contact adhesive based on rubber and synthetic resins in solution.

Scope

  • Recommended for bonding DANOPOL® and DANOPOL® HSF membranes to materials commonly used in construction such as concrete, metal, wood, etc.
  • Suitable for bonding between the waterproofing membrane and the substrate.
  • Do not use for bonding or overlaps between waterproofing membranes.

Advantages & Benefits

  • Strong resistance to ageing.
  • Excellent resistance to heat and cold.
  • High quality.

Instruction for Use

  • The areas to be bonded must be dry, free of grease, oil and dust. If necessary, clean the surface to be bonded with a brush or cloth.
  • Mix the adhesive until it has a completely homogeneous appearance with no sediment or lumps at the bottom of the container. Apply undiluted, using manual methods (brush, trowel, etc…) resistant to solvents, or in the case of large surfaces dispense by means of suitable machinery, making sure that a uniform coverage of the entire surface is achieved. Apply at temperatures between 5ºC to 30ºC, at temperatures below 5ºC the adhesive may have problems in the application and at temperatures above 30ºC, drying is shortened very quickly. The application should be done on both surfaces to be bonded and let it evaporate for 5 to 10 minutes depending on the environmental conditions. It is very important to take into account the evaporation of the solvents. Never exceed the open time of the adhesive, test the drying of the adhesive by the touch method. Make contact when all the solvent has evaporated. When bonding on a porous surface, it is advisable to apply a second coat, allowing the first coat to dry for the necessary time (airing time). Then join the two sides together and apply pressure for a few moments, avoiding leaving air bubbles. It is advisable to pass a soft roller over the top to ensure optimum contact and that no air bubbles are left.
  • Coverage of (150 to 200) g/m² per side.
  • Evaporation time must be determined by own tests, because it is influenced by the type of material, amount applied and ambient temperature. The evaporation of solvents depends on the ambient humidity and temperature as well as on the materials to be bonded.
  • The adhesive is easily flammable so sparks or any source of ignition should be avoided during storage and handling.
  • As it is an irritant, it is advisable to use protective E.P.I.S during use.

Safety and hygiene

  • Consult the safety data sheet.
  • Easily flammable, so sparks or any source of ignition must be avoided during storage and handling. It is recommended to use E.P.I, S protection during use.
