CONFORDAN® ECO is a flexible, chemically cross-linked polyethylene film, closed-cell on one side, which gives the product an elastic internal structure. It's designed to insulate residential wooden floor systems and complements the IMPACTODAN system. Compatible with underfloor heating.
Instruction for Use
Preliminary operations
- Before starting the works, the materials necessary for the execution of the work must be gathered, which are:
- The installations must be completed before laying the CONFORDAN ECO sheet.
- Any unevenness of the floor of more than 3 mm within 1 m must be levelled out beforehand with ARGONIV 020 ELITE levelling compound for thicknesses < 10 mm or ARGONIV 120 ELITE for thicknesses > 10 mm.
- Fixing equipment
- Aluminium ADHESIVE TAPE should be used to fasten the sheet to each other and to any point on the building site such as slabs, pillars, walls or any other structural element that functions as an electrical earth connection.
- Unroll the CONFORDAN ECO in the longitudinal direction of the boards, cutting the necessary size with a cutter.
- It is advisable to overlap and seal with CONFORDAN ECO adhesive tape to give continuity to the insulation and prevent the passage of dampness.
- Install the floating floor according to the manufacturer’s instructions or pour the mortar.
